Internet Browser Functions

Venue's web-based interface often requires interactions with various settings in your internet browser of choice. You will find links below for how to perform various functions in our currently supported browsers:

Clearing your browsing cache

Temporary data stored in your browser for Venue should routinely be cleared out for optimal site performance. Neglecting to clear out this data may cause timeouts if your session is attempting to load data from your previous login. We recommend, as a general practice, clearing your cookies, cache, and temporary data. Clearing this data may also alleviate any session-based error messages that may pop up. Please see below for links to the home support site for each browser for step-by-step instructions on how to clear this data:

Google Chrome - Clear cache & cookies - Computer - Google Account Help

Microsoft Edge - How to Manage and Clear Your Cache and Cookies | Edge Learning Center (microsoft.com)

Mozilla Firefox - How to clear the Firefox cache | Firefox Help (mozilla.org)

Apple Safari (mac) - Clear cookies in Safari on Mac - Apple Support

Apple Safari (mobile) - Clear the history, cache, and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Disable popup blocker

There are several Venue functions that require additional windows and tabs to pop open, which requires that Venue popups be allowed at the browser level. If you are getting a popup blocker warning during your Venue session, please see the instructions below for your browser of choice so that the function can be disabled:

Google Chrome - Block or allow pop-ups in Chrome - Computer - Google Chrome Help

Microsoft Edge - Block pop-ups in Microsoft Edge - Microsoft Support

Mozilla Firefox - Pop-up blocker settings, exceptions and troubleshooting | Firefox Help (mozilla.org)

Apple Safari - Block pop-up ads and windows in Safari - Apple Support

Generate a HAR file

In some troubleshooting cases, the Venue team may require you to generate a HAR file to aid in assisting you. A HAR file (HTTP Archive format) tracks the logging of a web browser's interaction with a site. This file may aid our team in pinpointing specific issues that may occur during browsing. This file is not needed for general troubleshooting, and will only be requested by the Venue team if you need to generate it. Please see the link below for how to generate the file in each browser:
